Former Black Stars Coach, Otto Addo has defended Captain, Dede Ayew regarding the counteraction from Ghanaians for missing a penalty in Ghana’s final group game in the 2022 World Cup against Uruguay.
At the Al Janoub Stadium on Friday December 2, Captain of Black Stars, Andre Dede Ayew missed a penalty in the 21st mins which could’ve given Ghana the lead against Uruguay before they conceded two goals from Uruguay’s Giorgian de Arrascaeta
In Otto Addo’s post match Press Conference, he said; “There’s no human being in the world who hasn’t missed a penalty, this is part of football, congratulations to the goalkeeper, he was really good today”
After his press conference, Otto Addo shared a picture of Dede Ayew scoring a penalty in Black Stars’ World Cup qualifier against South Africa with the caption, “We will get even stronger from this” & another one with “Nobody should forget… We wouldn’t have been there without you”
