Callum James Hudson-Odoi has revealed his desire of getting more playing time in his career. He made this known in an interview he granted with his club Chelsea FC, stating that the only way he can achieve consistency is when he plays regularly.

I want to be playing as much as possible. Regular football brings out the consistency so I want to just keep playing and playing as much as I can” , he said.

And not just playing more games, playing in his preferred position is also a major factor which can help bring his performance to the top once again. Callum admitted that, it is one of the things that can guarantee that he gives his best always on the pitch as often as he can. He played 10 games out of 11 in his favorite position before he got injured.

The Chelsea winger opened up more into the injury as he stated that it was a weird one. “It was a weird one. It was a neurological thing where I had a tweaked nerve in my back and it stemmed all the way down through my body, so then it became difficult for me to retain muscle” – Odoi.

He added that it was a post-coronavirus thing from December, but he could not believe because it had been a long time. “The issue started with my Achilles and then I was trying to use other parts of my body to make up for it” – Odoi speaks.

Odoi expressed his excitement to be back again to full fitness. “I’m glad to be back and to have my power, strength and speed back is all that I can wish for”.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to several local and international sources, has agreed to switch nationality from England to Ghana, with which processes have already begun and reached advanced stages. If true, he will be eligible to play for the black stars of Ghana few weeks to the kick off of the 2022 world cup to be hosted in Qatar in November.
